Investments

 

The Investments Committee is responsible for learning and discussing the fundamentals of finance and stock pitches with the intention of providing a close knit women-in-finance affinity group in the Wharton Women community. Members will learn about the basics of a stock pitch, recruiting, and finance industry, and compete in an internal stock pitch competition in close knit team with team mentorship

 
 

2025 Committee

Ada Wang

Ada Wang (Class of 2027) is from Houston, TX and is concentrating in Finance and Marketing. In her freshman year she joined Wharton Women as part of the Annual Dinner Committee, before focusing on engagement as the 2024 VP of Membership Development. This year, she hopes to empower all Wharton Women members as the VP of Finance and leading the Finance and Investments Committee. You can find Ada bouldering in Pottruck’s rock climbing wall, baking/cooking (and/or) eating at Philly’s restaurants, working as project lead in Wharton Undergraduate Consulting Club, or playing board games with friends. Stayce Mejia Garcia

Stayce Mejia Garcia (Class of 2028) is from Houston, TX and plans to concentrate in Finance and Management with a minor in Consumer Psychology. She joined Wharton Women her Freshman Fall as part of the Fellows Program. This year, she hopes to develop her passion for Finance with the support of a passionate and dedicated community in the Investments Committee. Outside of Wharton Women, Stayce is involved in Joseph Wharton Scholars, MUSE Digital, and Scholars of Finance. Samantha Hsiung

Samantha Hsiung (Class of 2028) is majoring in English and Economics and is from California. She joined Wharton Women because of the community and to (hopefully) understand the world of finance better. Deborah Jacklin

Deborah Jacklin (Class of 2028) is from Warner Robins, Georgia and plans to pursue a double concentration in Finance and the cluster, Business Economics & Public Policy. She joined Wharton Women her Freshman Spring as part of the Investments Committee aiming to expand her knowledge of industries and the market. Deborah is an associate consultant for REACH and Penn International Impact Consulting, a group dedicated to international non-profits. She is also a member of the UPenn Mock Trial team and works as an office manager for a residential house at UPenn. In her free time, she enjoys reading dystopian novels, watching her favorite shows like Reply 1988 and SUITS, and finding niche restaurants to dine at! Priyalba Jadeja

Priyalba Jadeja (Class of 2028) is from Houston, Texas, and plans to concentrate in Finance and Business Analytics at Wharton. She joined Wharton Women in the fall through the Fellows Program and is excited to deepen her understanding of finance while being part of a supportive community in the Investments Committee. Outside of Wharton Women, Priyalba is involved in Math Mates, Wharton Cohorts, and the Wharton Undergraduate Finance Club (WUFC). In her free time, she enjoys reading, experimenting with fusion recipes that blend different cuisines, and searching for the best matcha spots. Letitia Liu

Letitia Liu (Class of 2028) is from Taipei, Taiwan and plans to pursue a double concentration in Finance and Statistics with a submat in Data Science. She joined Wharton Women her Freshman Spring as part of the Investments Committee to further her interest in finance and hangout with the girlies! Outside of Wharton Women, Letitia is involved with WITG, GRC, WAX, MUSE, SFCU, and Penn Taiwanese Society. In her free time, you can catch Letitia cooking and baking, yapping with her friends, or making matcha lattes!

Yuchen (Mary) Liu

Yuchen Liu (Class of 2028) is from Henan, China or Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and plans to pursue a double concentration in Finance and Behavioral Economics while exploring classes in AI. She joined Wharton Women her Freshman Spring as a part of the Investment Committee with the passion to learn more about analyzing/evaluating businesses from different approaches. Outside of Wharton Women, Yuchen is involved with Scholars of Finance, Common Cents, and being a TA for STAT 1020! In her free time, you can catch Mary playing badminton, attempting to cook but failing miserably, hunting down good hot pot places, and just enjoying a good boba with friends. Emily Parastie

Emily Parastie (Class of 2028) is from the San Francisco Bay Area and is pursuing concentrations in Finance and Legal Studies/Business Ethics. She joined Wharton Women her Freshman fall in the Fellows Committee and is excited to pursue her interest in finance this semester through WW’s Investment Committee. Outside of Wharton Women, Emily serves as Vice President for the Wharton Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Club and is actively involved in Wharton Public Policy Consulting, WUFC, and Penn Fashion Club. Shriya Patel

Shriya Patel (Class of 2028) is from Sayreville, New Jersey, and plans to concentrate on Finance and Management. She joined Wharton Women as a GBM Fellow in the fall as a way to find a community of like-minded individuals who motivate me to become the best version of myself. She thanks Wharton Women for the opportunity to have a close WW Alumni Big and looks forward to this new role in Wharton Women. Prisha Vithalani

Prisha Vithalani (Class of 2028) is from Plano, Texas, and plans to concentrate in Finance and Business Analytics with a minor in Psychology. She joined Wharton Women in Freshman Fall as part of the Fellows program, and looks forward to learning more about finance within the investment committee. Outside of Wharton Women, she is involved in Global Research and Consulting, 180 Degrees Consulting, MUSE, Wharton Asia Investments, Women in Consulting, and the American Red Cross. Gabrielle Wong

Gabrielle Wong (Class of 2028) is from Hong Kong and the UK and plans to study Economics and Data Science with a minor in Anthropology. She is excited to join the Wharton Women Investments Committee in her Freshman Spring and further develop her interest in investing alongside a like-minded and dedicated community of women. Crystal Yeh

Crystal Yeh (Class of 2028) is from Cherry Hill, New Jersey and plans to concentrate in ESG and Finance at Wharton. Crystal joined Wharton Women as a GBM Fellow in the Fall to join a community of strong, empowering women. She is now excited to take on a more hands-on role within WW in the Investments Committee and be exposed to the finance world. Kathleen Yu

Kathleen Yu (Class of 2028) is from Houston, Texas and plans to concentrate in OIDD and Finance at Wharton. Kathleen joined Wharton Women her freshman fall in the Finance Committee because of her love for educational outreach. Kathleen is so excited to be even more involved in the WW finance community in the Investments Committee this semester. Katie Yu

Katie Yu (Class of 2028) is from Bellevue, Washington, and plans to study bioengineering. She joined Wharton Women Investments Committee her Freshman Spring and is excited to explore investing with a passionate and supportive team of women. Outside of Wharton Women, she is involved in Wharton Undergraduate Healthcare Club, Penn Undergraduate Biotech Society, Biomedical Engineering Society, and the Hogan Lab in the Vet School.
